Publisher Capcom kicked off 2019’s lineup of titles pretty strong with Resident Evil 2 Remake and Devil May Cry 5: but after seeing the two major titles releasing from the company, it was expected the publisher would take its time for a new title to come from either of the franchises. But according to a recent leak that was discovered, that assumption might not be fully true.

Reddit user 5eye-samurai shared to have discovered a new game for the Resident Evil series through a collection of YouTube thumbnails. Titled Project Resistance, the unannounced game shares to feature four playable characters to play as.

Speculation following the recent discovery have pointed towards the new title potentially being an online title where players must survive against the odds that the world is inhabited by. Seeming to take some tips from Metal Gear Survive, hopefully this game instead does not result the same as Konami’s title.

Previously, Capcom has shared with listening fans that the publisher is looking to give the same makeover to 1999’s Resident Evil 3, but those who want the game must be vocal about it as they were with this year’s remake to truly make it a reality.

In the meantime, you can read or review for Resident Evil 2 Remake here. Rectify Gaming’s David Rodriguez sharing that the game to going “above and beyond a simple remaster and reenvisions the classic from 1998 into a classic fit for 2019.”

Are you excited for this possible multiplayer Resident Evil game?
