Predating back to the start off of the Nintendo Switch, it was inevitable that Nintendo would ship out the next-generation of Super Mario sports titles. With the track record from before, Nintendo would continue to push the envelope with its organic and new approach to traditional athletics for the Nintendo Switch which eventually brought Mario Tennis Aces to the platform. And with that delivered a fun experience with plenty of free content in post-launch.

So when time came for Nintendo to announce its next project – Mario Golf: Super Rush – the firm most likely already planned to deliver its own batch of additional add-ons to the game in a similar manner as its tennis predecessor. Already arriving in late June, it would be sometime until we would see that.

But in a new yet abrupt announcement on Twitter, Mario Golf: Super Rush is expecting a new client which will grant owners a free suite of new content for the game.

Most notable of the bunch has to be the addition of Ranked Mode. Similar to how competitive titles dislocate its social users from active players has now stretched over to Mario Golf: Super Rush as well. Despite golf being a very tame sport, the Super Mario twist does prove to bring more heated experiences which explains for the need of a Ranked Mode.

The update also includes new add-ons such as playable character Toadette, New Donk City as a playable locale, and motion controls gets a more optimal overhaul for users that play with the feature.

Just this week, New Pokémon Snap received a similar update on Nintendo Switch as well. The title update included new locations to visit in both day & night alongside nearly two dozen new Pokémon to track as well. You can read the full report by heading here.
