Sonic Prime To Officially Air This December On Netflix

In terms of Sonic entertainment, there is no question the amount of popularity the property has received in 2022 this year. For those that might recall, Paramount Pictures’ Sonic the Hedgehog 2 hit theaters this spring which unraveled to becoming one of the best openings for the entire year in the box office. Even more, it was reported to be the most successful opening for Jim Carrey’s career as well.

Looking ahead, Paramount has already shared when the next film is to hit theaters. In that, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is to release in December 2024. As for content to mediate excited viewers until that, Netflix has you covered. This past May, the streaming service shared a brief glimpse at the 3D animated Sonic the Hedgehog show ‘Sonic Prime’ which left many fans excited.

According to IGN, the television series is set to air this coming December. The outlet goes on to share two posts of fully-rendered posters for the TV show which you can view below:

Additionally, Netflix is said to be airing a new teaser for Sonic Prime later today at its Netflix Geeked livestream at 8 PM EST / 5 PM PST. It is likely there that Netflix will present a full-length trailer for the TV series with a grander overview on the show for its first season. That is not the only bit of Sonic the Hedgehog coming this fall.

Of course, many Sonic the Hedgehog are certainly aware that Sonic Frontiers is on the horizon to launch. The game is less than a month away and is shaping to be a very anticipated addition to the long line of entries that span across three decades now.
