The talent at Rockstar Games is still hard at work on shipping the highly-anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI. Last month, it was revealed that the newest entry is to be on the back burner for another year with a new delay aiming to ship in November 2026. Atop of that, there was also a wave of layoffs at the developer and legal action is being taken by a labor union in Great Britain.
As for the current workings under Rockstar Games, it did deliver a healthy helping of new content earlier this summer with the ‘Money Fronts’ update that offered new laundering operations to regulars on GTA Online. Additionally, there was also the return of the living dead with the Cayo Perico survival mode as well this past fall.
Now this week, a new free update is coming to GTA Online featuring a long-awaited addition to the game – purchasable mansions. Luxury reality is arriving and the new story part of ‘A Safehouse in the Hills’ reintroduces Michael De Santa to the world of Los Santos too. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

It continues: “A Safehouse in the Hills will also introduce new missions — with no luxury property purchase required — and a slate of new top-of-the-line vehicles to GTA Online. These include new Hao’s Special Works compatible cars, as well as the addition of Missile Lock-On Jammer compatibility to more vehicles (including several non-weaponized aircraft).”
