marathon march 2026

Bungie announced that its upcoming first-person extraction shooter, Marathon, will officially release in March 2026, targeting a price of $39.99. It’s planned to release on PC via Steam, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5.

Purchasing Marathon will give full access to the game, including a roadmap of free gameplay updates as the year goes on, Bungie mentions. These updates will include new maps, new Runner shells, events, and more, starting with the exploration of UESC Marathon’s Cryo Archive in Season 1.

Marathon’s Rewards Passes will not expire, and you’ll be able to purchase and unlock prior Passes.

A new ViDoc was released from Bungie that highlights Solo queue, proximity chat, and many improvements that have been made since its alpha test.

In June, Bungie announced they delayed Marathon from its original release date on September 23. There was a lot of passionate feedback that came from the community that forced the studio to push it back a few months.
