Last year, players were greeted with Season 27 – Amped. The new addition came with overhauls for its Legend roster like Valkyrie, Horizon, and Rampart. Additionally, the following updates also injected new content too. The ‘Supersonic Event’ welcomed Wild Card Olympus to the rotation. Atop of that, there is also the ‘Merry Mayhem Event’ that sprinkled winter onto Wild Card as well.

The latest event, ‘Winter Wipeout’, further deepened the Wild Card experience with new hover boards to help traverse the arena alongside both Octane & Newcastle facing meta reworks after longing requests by the playerbase. However, there is also some lesser exciting news: Apex Legends is to be shuttered on the original Nintendo Switch later this summer come Season 30.

But looking at what’s currently in front of the battle royale, Respawn Entertainment is bringing a new definition to mayhem with a massive retooling to Fuse alongside the addition of destructible windows to the live-service. Season 28 – Breach arrives on February 10th. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

“Hardlight is the newest tactical mechanic in Apex Legends. […] Hardlight acts as destructible windows that replace many of the open window spaces in existing structures. Players hiding behind Hardlight are safe from enemy attacks, but Hardlight can be broken and takes increased damage from specific weapon classes and Legend abilities,” the team describes for the new map destruction.

“In Apex Legends: Breach, Fuse takes center stage with a juicy Legend Rework which includes a new version of his ultimate, changes to his tactical and new upgrades!” Respawn Entertainment shares on the new meta changes coming. “But he isn’t alone. Bloodhound and Catalyst both join the party with their own updated kits – and that’s just the start for these two!”

What new addition has you excited for Season 28 – Breach?

Apex Legends is out now for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
