The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered To Get Nintendo Switch 2 Release In 2026

Last year, Bethesda took plenty of the video game industry by surprise with the announcement of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. Not only was many not anticipating a remake of the classic 2006 release, but that it would also be available that same day. The title went on to face over 4 million players returning to Cyrodiil within the first week of release.

Additionally, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered also found more life with a limited time physical release on both Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5 this past October too. What does raise some eyebrows is that Nintendo Switch 2 was also reported to be in the crosshairs for a release as well. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Anniversary Edition is out on the system, so this would only make sense.

And at the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, Bethesda announced that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is being prepared for a Nintendo Switch 2 release later this year. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:
