The movie’s opening has also beaten The Super Mario Bros. Movie that released in 2023, which brought $31.7M on opening day. The expected 5-day box office number for the Super Mario Galaxy Movie is expected to be around $186M, which would technically be below the first, but that could easily change.
If The Super Galaxy Movie does break over $200M at the box office over its 3-day opening, it would be the biggest since the opening of Wicked for Good.
