1047 Games is reportedly working on a spiritual successor to Titanfall titled ‘Empulse’, according to Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming.
The outlet received pre-alpha gameplay footage, and it showed players fighting in team Deathmatch, using grappling hooks, wall running, and boost pads to get through the map faster. The key to the game is the use of giant mechs that are placed throughout the map.
The new game by 1047 Games shouldn’t come as a surprise since CEO Ian Proulx mentioned they had a small team internally working on a new shooter inspired by Titanfall and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.
Empulse is currently in pre-alpha, Tom Henderson mentions. It’s too early to tell if the game will be announced this year.
1047 Games received plenty of backlash in 2025, forcing the studio to put Splitgate 2 back into Beta, and of course, the presence at Summer Game Fest wasn’t well received by viewers. Splitgate 2 did return to its full launch and is not titled ‘Splitgate: Arena Reloaded‘.
How do you feel about a new game inspired by Titanfall?
