Last week Nintendo shadow-dropped F-Zero 99 during the latest Direct making it available for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. Dataminers found files of content that could have been planned for F-Zero and some that might come in future updates.

Twitter user, @OatmealDome shared that an Arcade and Survival mode was found and these game modes could eventually make an appearance. They also state the Arcade mode has timers and time gates placed in circuits. No other information was found for the Survival mode.

Twitter user @LuigiBlood found unused files that consist of tracks for F-Zero 99. They seem to be placeholders for Mute City I and it’s unlikely they will use these, but it’s cool to know there was even more planned for this game.
