Super Bomberman R 2 Revealed For 2023 Release Window

The latest Nintendo Direct brought many fans joy with the featured announcements made at the time. While expectations were fairly tame, the reveals on the other hand left viewers on the edge of their seat. For one, Capcom officially unveiled Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection. Previously, the project was on standby, but the publisher reassured more than a year ago that an ‘announcement’ was due to be shared.

Additionally, Portal Companion Collection was shadowdropped for the platform introducing the classic duology to Nintendo Switch. More exciting is that Atlus officially shared Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal is receiving proper ports to Nintendo Switch in due time. The latter 2020 release is expected to ship this October.

In a separate reveal from the presentation, Konami shared the first look at Super Bomberman R 2. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:

“A threat looms in the universe once again! Can the 8 Bomber Brothers and their new friends, the Ellons, save the universe and keep the peace?” the press release overview reads. “KONAMI is taking the party game experience to a new level with a new Battle Mode, “Castle”, challenging players to apply their creative genius to design their own bases, defend it from enemies and share their creation with the world!”

Elsewhere previously, Konami disclosed Super Bomberman R Online is to shut down later this year. The servers for the game are to close on the 1st of December and all digital currencies were already shuttered at the beginning of June this summer. You can read the full report by heading here.
