When it comes to Bethesda’s Starfield, the latest RPG from the developer of Fallout & The Elder Scrolls has been received differently than its successors. With a lot on its shoulders to deliver a new IP, the firm did ship a new experience unlike its other releases. But, the title has remained more niché rather than properly embraced by its players. Looking ahead, the game studio has pointed out that plans for future updates are to be eventful editions to the full game when addressed periodically.

As for the current plans ahead, details are anticipated to take place very soon. Back in February, it was indicated that Bethesda has a plan in mind to announcement new details attached to Starfield. It was understood that this would include an overhaul-like title to Starfield alongside more platforms being welcomed. In a newer report, it is said that April 7th is the date decided to ship Starfield on PlayStation 5.

Now with all that being considered, there has been some good news for the future of Starfield. In an interview with RPGSite, veteran Bethesda composer Inon Zur pressed on the new RPG from Bethesda. During the discussion, Zur disclosed that Todd Howard’s determination for his universes outweighs speculation on the game’s shortcomings; that he’s certain Howard is to deliver plenty for Starfield.

“Todd is one, if not the most creative and invigorating human beings in the industry. He just doesn’t stop. He always has new ideas. He always knows what he wants. He is very persuasive and has a very strong character. He will also find ways to describe what he wants without really calling it a name. He knows how to allow freedom of creativity on one hand, but also how to steer it to his own vision. He is a visionary. He sees things that people will start to find out years later.

“This also applies to Starfield. When Starfield released, I believe people were just not ready for it. It’s a different way of looking at it, but Todd is really strong, and he said very, very lightly, ‘Look, if you don’t like it, then you don’t like it, but this is the new thing that we’re doing, and we’re sticking to it.’ He believes in his way, and it just has proven time and time again that eventually people will understand his vision. It just takes time and this is a common thing for all the big visionaries.”

Zur continues: “Sometimes people really don’t understand them correctly, but they were strong enough to stay on course, and Todd will stay on course on Starfield. Starfield will eventually become something that will be legendary. I have no doubt. It’s just a matter of time.” Zur’s comments quickly picked up traction online that even Bethesda itself responded to the recent statement.

On X, the official Bethesda Game Studios account responded that Howard is aware of the remarks from Zur and that an announcement is fixed for the coming week. “We ran this by Todd and he said his only visionary power is seeing running lanes in EA College Football 26. He appreciates all the passionate feedback on Starfield and we’ll have more to share next week.:
