Batman Arkham, Gotham Knights Team Credited co-Developer For Legacy Of The Dark Knight

The announcement for Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has remained a steady build up for anticipated fans. With each update or trailer, players only grew more excited for the new Lego Batman experience. What swelled anticipation especially was when Warner Bros. Games announced that the new title would ship a week earlier this May.

Leading up to the game’s release, the game was compromised online. Via the Xbox Store, users found a way to access the full title which breaks the street date for Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. This issue has since been resolved for the publisher. Elsewhere, DC Comics announced a new sweepstakes launched for players to create a new villain that would be featured in the new game as well as upcoming issues for its comics too.

Now with Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight out this week, a new realization has been made for the game. From Video Game Chronicle, it was revealed that the new title credits multiple teams within Warner Bros. Games that surely will excite players. It is revealed that both Rocksteady Studios (Batman Arkham) alongside Warner Bros. Montreal (Gotham Knights) are credited as co-developers on the project.

This new uncovering comes as reassurance on what to expect on the game and players are only more excited to get their hands on it. Since the game’s reveal last year, comparisons to the Arkham universe have remained the biggest candidate in that regard. Last February, it was reported that the team is being scoped out to begin new work on a title attached to DC Comics once again.

Elsewhere, it is a different story for Warner Bros. Montreal. While reputable for projects like DLC for Arkham Knight & Arkham Origins, the team’s lackluster shipping of Gotham Knights has put the developer in a tough position.
