Multiple reports have surfaced about Bethesda’s future projects. According to Jez Corden of Windows Central, Bethesda has greenlit Fallout 5 and the remakes of Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas.
With the excitement surrounding the Fallout TV Show, fans have been anticipating a new game to be announced soon. Recently, a countdown appeared on the show’s Amazon Prime website, and it’s not believed to be related to a new Fallout game.
According to Jez Corden, we are eventually getting a Fallout 3 Remake similar to the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered and a Fallout New Vegas Remake. It’s unknown who would be working on these projects. The insider also shares that Fallout 5 is believed to be greenlit.
Obsidian would make sense to do the Fallout New Vegas Remake since they are the original developer. The studio is apparently working on four projects, and Tim Cain, the co-creator of Fallout, joined the studio recently.
No other details have been reported yet. Bethesda and Microsoft have been quiet on what comes next for the Fallout franchise. 2026 is also the 25th anniversary of Xbox, which is expected to be a jam-packed year of content, including a new release of Halo, Forza Horizon 6, and more.
Wolfenstein 3 is also reported to be in development to coincide with the Wolfenstein TV Show that is in the works at Amazon.
