The stream of Nintendo Switch announcements from the latest Nintendo Direct has been a mouthful. From Bethesda alone, there are three major additions coming to Nintendo Switch 2 throughout the course of 2026. This month, Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition is to ship. Later this May, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is scheduled. And that is followed by The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered slated for this year as well.
As for other third-party announcements for Nintendo Switch, there were immediate releases such as Hollow Knight for Nintendo Switch 2 alongside Super Bomberman Collection as well for both systems. Additionally, Square Enix confirmed that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is set to release for June later this summer also.
Alongside some heavy-hitter announcements, publisher Hamster announced that parallel to Arcade Archives, there will also be a new Console Archives series underway with plans to release its first titles later this year. You can watch the trailer in the video below:
“Get ready for classic gaming at home or on the go! Battle your way through relentless enemies, deadly traps, and supernatural forces in a quest to stop the sinister plans of Emperor Ashtar in Console Archives Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos! Or experience the thrill of extreme winter sports in Console Archives Cool Boarders, where players can shred snowy mountains, carve through sharp turns, or pull off jaw-dropping tricks,” the press release says.
Both titles are available now while other games featured like Doraemon & SONIC WINGS Special are confirmed to come at a later time. As for the established Arcade Archives series, Arcade Archives 2 Rave Racer for Nintendo Switch 2 and Arcade Archives Rave Racer for Nintendo Switch were also announced.
